Busy Weekend

Brandon and I went up to the Alaskan Inn in Ogden Canyon for our 5 year anniversary. It was so nice up there. Our room was so cute, it was all log cabin style. They have suites and individual cabins. We stayed in one of the suites. We got there about 3:00 and check-in was not until 4:00 so we drove up the canyon to Pineview Reservoir. It was so pretty up there. There were a few boats out but not too crowded. After we got all checked in and everything we asked about restaurants in the area and there is the Timbermine which is really nice, but a little pricey. We ended up going to Roosters, which is a brewery and restaurant. It was really cute inside and the food was great. In the morning, they brought breakfast to our rooms, which was also good. It was a great time and I would recommend the Alaskan Inn to anybody.

Today on our way back, we met my parents and Ash and Mike at the State Fair. We try to go to the fair every year. We all met up around 11 and it was nice, not too hot yet and not too many people yet. We took Wyatt over to the little kids area where he wore a little apron and went through all the stations. He picked apples, milked a cow, gathered eggs, planted veggies and rode a tractor. It is such a cute idea and will definitely be something we do with him each year. We then walked around, ate, looked at all the booths, checked out the sea lions and watched a pig race. It was starting to get hot and crowded so we left about 2.

It was a busy weekend, but GREAT! I have the best hubby and the best family!
